Graduate School Engineering Writing Programs
In this session, you will learn about opportunities to develop your academic and professional writing skills from the Graduate School. We will discuss the formats of our programming, the benefits of participating, and how you can get involved this semester. Previous program participants will also be available to share their experiences.
With more than 10 years of experience in teaching writing, Homar has a strong background in writing across disciplines, rhetoric, and teaching English to speakers of other languages (TESOL). In her current role with the Graduate School, she designs and delivers writing-oriented professional development programming for graduate and postdoc trainees across disciplines. Prior to joining NC State, Homar was a Brittain Postdoctoral Fellow at Georgia Institute of Technology’s Writing and Communication Program. She holds a Ph.D. in English and a TESOL certificate from the University of Pittsburgh.
