Master of Operations Research (MOR)

The Master of Operations Research prepares you for a career as an OR practitioner in either the private or the public sector. The MOR degree requires completing 31 credit hours in OR and OR-related courses.

Master of Operations Research (MOR ONLINE)

The Master of Operations Research prepares you for a career as an OR practitioners in either the private or the public sector. The MOR degree requires completion of 31 credit hours in OR and OR-related courses. Unlike the MOR degree, it does not require on-campus residency.

Master of Science in Operations Research (MSOR)

The Master of Science in Operations Research is designed to prepare students for careers as research and development engineers in industry or for matriculation into Ph.D. programs in Operations Research. The MSOR degree requires a minimum of 31 credit hours and the completion of a thesis.

Doctor of Philosophy in Operations Research (Ph.D.)

The Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering is pursued by outstanding students like you who are interested in independent study and research. It requires advanced coursework and research beyond the master’s degree, a written and oral comprehensive preliminary examination, a written dissertation, and a final oral defense of the research.

Operations Research Minors

Master of Science

Three (3) OR courses (nine credits) are required to minor in operations research as part of a Master of Science degree, plus having an OR faculty member as part of your committee. A student must register using the OR prefix if an OR course is cross-listed with other departments.

Doctor of Philosophy

Four (4) OR courses (12 credits) are required to minor in operations research as part of a Ph.D. degree, plus having an OR faculty member as part of your committee. A student must register using the OR prefix if an OR course is cross-listed with other departments.
