Accepted Admission FAQ
After you receive an offer of admission into one of our graduate programs, you will be assigned an interim academic advisor. Once we have received your intent to enroll, you will receive an email from the OR Program Office. You may consult with your academic advisor with any questions about coursework, specialty areas or planning which courses to take to satisfy degree requirements.
You will receive your 9-digit NC State Student ID Number from the Graduate School after you submit your online application and pay your application processing fee. Refer to the Office of Information Technology (OIT) website for more information on Unity and Campus IDs. You will receive your Unity ID and password information in your final admission letter from the Graduate School. The decision letter will be available through the online application; you must log in using the application password and the personal identification number (PIN) received through email when your application account was created.
Each semester, before enrollment opens for the upcoming semester, you will see an Enrollment Advising Hold in your MyPack Portal. The OR Program Office must clear this hold before you can access the online course registration system. Please make sure that you have contacted your advisor regarding coursework. Read more about how and when to enroll (register) in courses on Registration and Records Registration Information.
Complete official transcripts from each college and university you attended, including degrees and dates awarded, must be submitted to the Graduate School before the beginning of the first semester of enrollment at NC State University. If they are not on file with the Graduate School by the end of the first semester, you may not be permitted to register for the second semester.
